About Me

Hey, I'm Megan!

I'm a queer writer and narrative designer based in Los Angeles with over nine years of experience in film, TV, music and video games. Whether it's macabre, wacky or outright mundane, I love storytelling and believe that it's the art form that separates us from the wolves.  My dear midwestern mother might not like to read my stuff because it's "too weird" but hopefully you'll find something that resonates with you. If it does, I'd love the chance to play in your sandbox (with or without wolves)!

Previously, I worked as a development executive at The Safran Company (Aquaman, The Conjuring) for over four years, helping in the creative process for their expansive development slate. I've produced several award winning short films, including The Hoarding, directed, written and starring Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jumanji) and Hammer Down, written and directed by Simon Hatt (executive producer of DC’s Peacemaker TV series) and starring Chris Sullivan (This is Us). After years of working as a producer and development exec, I realized I didn't just want to work with creatives, I actually wanted to hone my own creative voice and write projects of my own.  I've been a huge video game nerd since my parent's bought me an N64 and I played Legend of Zelda:  Ocarina of Time  every waking second. I realized that my development expertise and eye for story lends itself beautifully to the ever-growing medium.
